I did some research into the creature. It's called a Volcarona, a fully evolved Bug/Fire type. It's said to be born from the Sun, and is an embodiment of the Sun.

But why would God choose such a hideous form? Is this a test from Her, too?

It's child is also here. A Larvesta. I wonder if she screams and thrashes because of the separation.
