Gloom of course, had raced back to Walter, hiding in the shadows of the Murkrows he'd sent to collect her. The day his Pokemon returned to him was the best of this new beginning in Kanto - he had missed Assumption more than he could ever say.

With the message out, his pokemon had been on high alert for anyone who came to find him, ally or enemy. As Cissnei entered the city, a pair of Murkrow spotted her and took to the sky, flying over the city. They raced to a house located near the Nugget Bridge...Walter's new home. It was quiet and identical to every other house on the road, so the perfect place to lie low.

The Murkrows swooped down and before long, Walter emerged. While he was impressed Cissnei had tracked him down to Cerulean so quickly, he still felt an urge to hide for a little longer. Above him, the flock of Murkrow swirled in the sky, like a growing tempest. He pointed towards the Rock Tunnel and away they flew, possibly distracting Cissnei with such an unusual sight. Walter himself headed towards the cape, Pokeballs on his belt, Armilla the Honchkrow on his shoulder and Gloom hiding in his shadow.

He had to be sure Cissnei wasn't being followed or working with someone he'd rather avoid.
